The National Fire Academy will pilot a new course, “Urban Fire and Life Safety — Issues and Solutions” (P0380), on our campus in Emmitsburg, Maryland, Sunday, Sept. 14, through Friday, Sept. 19, 2014.

This six-day course helps personnel from large municipal fire departments or state fire organizations develop strategies to address common risk-reduction challenges facing fire departments that serve urban communities. Strategies will focus on how to engage, solicit and activate the public, including internal and external organizations.
