Home fire deaths continue to rise despite increased community risk reduction activities like home safety surveys and smoke alarm installation and education campaigns. Our nation's fire and emergency medical services need to speak with one voice on fire and life safety to relay clear and consistent messages.

- Have a home fire escape plan for everyone in your home.
- Some people may need help waking up or getting outside.
- Let your local fire department know if someone in your home needs extra assistance to escape or may have difficulty escaping.

Ways to use the logo on your outreach materials
Check out how fire departments and fire service organizations are using the Fire Is Everyone's Fight logo and public service announcements (PSAs) to help change how people think about fire and fire prevention.
The Springfield (Illinois) Fire Department used this PSA on city buses to promote the importance of smoke alarms.
The West Hartford (Connecticut) Fire Department posted this PSA at the Bradley International Airport.
The Bristol (Tennessee) Fire Department includes the logo on its department patch.
The Ohio State Fire Marshal's Fire Prevention Bureau includes the logo on its conference and meeting display.
The Auburn (Indiana) Fire Department created Fire Is Everyone's Fight logo decals for their fire service vehicles.
