Sasha is a key member of the Rawlins Fire Department public education team.
Stephanie Schofield is the secondary handler on an accelerant detection canine team for the city of Rawlins Fire Department, located southwest of Casper, Wyoming. Shortly after completing their training, Schofield and Sasha were sent to investigate a motel fire in Gillette, Wyoming. It was her maiden voyage with Sasha and their investigation resulted in several alerts.
As the secondary handler, Schofield organizes public fire education presentations involving Sasha, as well as other activities such as demonstrations to Boy Scouts, dog obedience classes, and even insurance agent conferences around the state.
