Fire and Emergency Services Higher Education Conference

The Fire and Emergency Services Higher Education (FESHE) Conference dates are set for June 11‑12, 2022 at the National Emergency Training Center (NETC) in Emmitsburg, Maryland. The conference will feature presentations and workshops for stakeholders, practitioners and educators related to fire training enhancement and resources, higher education program development, and fire prevention and protection within the scope of professional development. Attendance is free.

Who can attend the FESHE Conference?

Those active in fire and emergency services professional development, including state fire training representatives, official representatives of regionally accredited academic fire programs, state and local fire service and emergency medical services training, national and state fire associations, fire marshals, fire prevention and protection personnel and educators, and those responsible for developing fire and emergency services personnel. Candidates within this audience will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Those with interest in the field of fire and emergency services professional development. Candidates within this audience will be reviewed for acceptance after the application closing date.

This year's conference will also be live streamed on ZOOM.

How to register for the conference

The registration deadline is May 10, 2022. Please register through the NETC Online Admissions System using course code R0178. You must have a FEMA Student Identification Number to register. ZOOM attendees must also register.

On-campus attendees must follow NETC COVID-19 protocols.

Identification needed to access NETC

Anyone entering the NETC campus unescorted is required to show photo identification.

Transportation, lodging and meals

We will provide free lodging and scheduled bus transportation to and from Baltimore Washington International (BWI) airport. The travel day to NETC is June 10 and the travel home day is June 12. Please don't book your travel plans until confirmation of your acceptance is received from our Admissions Office. Transportation information will be included in your welcome packet. There are no stipends or travel reimbursements for the FESHE conference and related workshops.

You are responsible for the cost of your meals and must purchase a meal ticket within two weeks prior to your arrival at NETC. Order your meal ticket at www.netcmealtickets.com. Base your ticket purchase on the travel dates listed in your acceptance email. If you have questions about your meal ticket, please call 301-447-1551.

NETC WiFi

WiFi is available for attendees, however, please be advised that it is within a government communication network. Personal email sites, such as Gmail, Comcast, Yahoo Mail, etc., are not available. In addition, access to some websites is also blocked.
