Fire and Emergency Services College Degree Programs

A list of college and university degree programs that emphasize firefighting response, fire prevention, fire administration and emergency medical services (EMS) management.

The Fire and Emergency Services Higher Education (FESHE) Recognition certificate is an acknowledgement that a collegiate emergency services degree program meets the minimum standards of excellence established by FESHE professional development committees and the National Fire Academy.

These regionally or nationally accredited colleges and universities have demonstrated a commitment to the nationally recognized FESHE model of standardized professional development education criteria. FESHE concentrates on degree programs that emphasize firefighting response, fire prevention, fire administration and EMS management.

Institutions of higher education interested in the FESHE Recognition Program and a listing on this page should contact fema-feshe@fema.dhs.gov for further information.
