State- and Local Partner-Sponsored Fire Training Courses

In addition to off-campus courses sponsored by the National Fire Academy (NFA) for local delivery, we make available to state and local partners our course content, such as instructor guides, student manuals and course videos, for select 2-, 6- and 10-day NFA courses.

How it works

State and local agencies have sole control and responsibility to deliver these courses and may use NFA instructors. They can report student participation in all courses for inclusion in the NFA student database. Students who take a state- or local partner-sponsored course receive an NFA certificate of completion.

Available courses are listed in the NFA course catalog. For information about course offerings, application procedures, course dates and locations of deliveries, contact your state fire training agency.
