We are excited for the next generation of fire incident reporting.
Fire departments are now onboarding and reporting their incidents to the National Emergency Reporting Information System (NERIS).
The National Fire Incident Reporting System (NFIRS) was decommissioned in February 2026. eNFIRS and its tools, including the Data Warehouse, are unavailable to all users.

Summer outings often include time spent around water. Drownings happen quickly and are often silent. Fire departments can help get pool and swimming safety messages out to their communities to prevent these tragedies.
