Application periods for resident courses are as follows:
Dec. 15 – Jan. 15 | for April, May and June |

Sept. 15 – Oct. 15 | for Jan., Feb. and March |
The current resident course application period is: OPEN.
Apply between Sept. 15 – Oct. 15 for on-campus courses scheduled from Jan. through March 2026.
You can apply for a self-study course, course vacancy or the State/National Weekend Program at any time.

There are no tuition fees for on-campus, online and NFA-sponsored off-campus courses. All instruction and course materials are provided at no cost.
How we reimburse you
The NFA will reimburse you for airfare (or other ticketed means of transportation) or personal, department/organization and rental vehicle mileage. Learn about the expenses and reimbursement policies associated with your NFA course.
How to obtain Continuing Education Units and college credit for NFA courses
NFA is not an accredited institution, but the courses you take through NFA can be considered for college credit.
