National Emergency Training Center (NETC)

The NETC Admissions Office assists National Fire Academy (NFA) students with understanding eligibility and application requirements and transcript requests.

Application periods for resident courses are as follows:

June 15 – July 15for Oct., Nov. and Dec
Sept. 15 – Oct. 15for Jan., Feb. and March

The current resident course application period is: OPEN.

Apply between Sept. 15Oct. 15 for on-campus courses scheduled from Jan. through March 2026.

You can apply for a self-study course, course vacancy or the State/National Weekend Program at any time.

There are no tuition fees for on-campus, online and NFA-sponsored off-campus courses. All instruction and course materials are provided at no cost.
