State fire training agencies sponsor the weekends in partnership with the NFA. The state agency selects the courses and recruits and enrolls students according to the established student selection criteria. The NFA hosts the weekend and provides the instruction and course materials.
In addition, we provide lodging at no cost to personnel from career or volunteer departments and state/local governments. Meal costs and transportation expenses are the responsibility of the students or the sponsoring agencies.
Information about application procedures and courses is available by contacting your state fire training agency.
